Barbara and Bill Taylor 2024
Oregon RV Campers Association Directors

WELCOME to Oregon RV Campers Association (aka ORCA), a newly formed organization aimed at those that love to camp, and for those who love to socialize and make new friends! We are former Oregon Good Sam members that decided to branch out on our own and have the leadership experience to make ORCA successful. Many of our members have been with our group for several years and treasure the friendships and companionship of others that enjoy camping. Our organization consists of chapters located throughout the state of Oregon, and we offer “MAL” membership (members-at-large) for those that do not have a chapter near their hometown. However, just because there may not be a chapter near you, it does not mean that you can’t join any chapter within the state. Chapters will welcome you no matter where you live, and you’re always invited to accompany any chapter to their campouts and can join in their activities.
Our mission is “to promote in Oregon an RV/Camping organization that creates friendships and education for members as well as goodwill and charitable experiences in our communities”. Many of the ORCA chapters, as well as ORCA itself, support charities such as local food banks, veteran’s organizations, women’s shelters, homeless organizations, kidney dialysis centers, and Dogs for Better Lives. ORCA members enjoy three camping rallies each year: The Westerners Round Up in Lincoln City, the Orca Rally in Rickreall, and the Wy’East Pioneers Pow Wow in Hood River. At these rallies, we enjoy indoor and outdoor games, programs, seminars, themed contests, auctions, crafts, quilting for charity, potlucks and more.
Individual chapters enjoy camping together, planning tours and various activities, breakfasts, luncheons, holiday parties, and any other fun get-together they can come up with. ORCA, as the parent organization, has a strong, committed Executive Board currently led by Barb and Bill Taylor, State Directors, that oversee the chapters and keep our organization running smoothly. We also publish a monthly newsletter filled with useful information that is emailed to the membership at no charge. “The Drifter” contains camping tips for first time RV buyers and seasoned campers, chapter news, memorials, tidbits of interesting ideas, photos, camping recipes and so much more. Current dues for 2024 are just $5.00 per person. We hope you will consider joining us as a member of ORCA today!  Please contact Barb Taylor at 503-810-7585 or Bill Taylor at 503-740-5147 for more information, or you can email us at orcadirector@outlook.com.

The best camping experience starts here”.
